Overnight Oats Recipe

Happy Monday beautiful people!!

If you follow me on insta, you'd know that I had an EXTREMELY early morning today... I was awake before 4:00 and then I had to be on set for The Rookie by 5:30 am. To say that I am sleepy would be an understatement... ANDDDD I missed my Monday workout {which is usually boxing} so I'm bummed about that and will have to make up for that tomorrow morning.

Also, before I get into the "as I promised" speech, I just wanna let you know that I in fact did record an FMF BUTTTTT my camera may need to be sent back {since it's still on warranty} because it has been deleting files and not working at times.

NOW -- For the "as I promised" speech. About a week ago I put a poll up on my insta-g about sharing my overnight oats recipe and although only seventeen people {out of the 506 peeps that watched it} said they wanted it, I got no "no" answers SOOOOO I wanted to share it with y'all so you can make it. I swear, it is so filling and it honestly tastes like dessert to me.

Did I mention... It's gluten free ANDDDD vegan?!?

INGREDIENTS:

✩ Gluten Free Rolled Oats

✩ Chia Seeds

✩ Milk {I use oat milk or almond milk if I'm out}

✩ Yogurt {I use dairy free cashewgurt... Kite Hill is my second favorite brand}

✩ Pure Vanilla Extract

✩ Cinnamon

✩ Organic Honey

To say the very least, to make just one mason jar {you can make it in whatever... I just like mason jars because of the aesthetic lol}, it takes less than ten minutes!! It is sooooo easy to make and the only issue is waiting for at least two hours for the oats to soak up, expand, and soften up because once you try your first one, you won't want to wait.

I also will be extremely honest and just let you know that I LOVEEEEE cinnamon and a lot of my measurements {for the honey, vanilla, and cinnamon} are just guesses. If you are wanting your oats to be more sweet though, just keep adding honey because that baby does the job.

NOW -- Let's get to the specifics.

✩ 1 cup rolled oats

✩ 1 cup milk

✩ 1/2 cup yogurt {or just one of the yogurt cups I have in the photo}

✩ 1 1/2 tablespoons chia seeds

✩ 1 tablespoon honey

✩ 1 tablespoon cinnamon

✩ 3 teaspoons vanilla

You can honestly put them in the mason jar {or cup // bowl} in any order you want and just make sure you mix it up nicely so that you don't end up with just chunks of chia seeds... Unless you want chia seed pudding WHICH I actually have a recipe for too if you want {CLICK HERE}.

Once you're done mixing, put it in the fridge and let it sit for about {at least} two hours.

And then... VIOLA!!

You can have it for breakfast {or really any meal} or even dessert. I personally like putting strawberries and // or blueberries on top with extra cinnamon sprinkled on top of that... Truly, it is yummy with fruit on top, cinnamon on top, more granola {if you're carbo-loading}, or even plain. You can play around with it!!

If you try making it though, let me know your thoughts!! You can message me on "the gram" OR even hit me up via email... UP TO YOU!!

xoxo V
