Amazon Purchases You Didn't Know You Needed

It's hump day babyyyyyy and I am about to get down to it.

Grab a coffee {or tea, or wine, or kombucha, or beer, or whatever}, wrap yourself in your coziest blanket, and kick your slippers up because the other day I got myself into the Amazon black hole and did some damage SO I came up with the idea of this post...

Amazon purchases you didn't know you needed {until you did the damage and ended up loving them}.

Before I get into this though, just know that this is another click to shop post for y'all to make it as easy as possible on you guys. Anything items that are highlighted within this post can just be clicked on and then they will open in another tab... YOU'RE WELCOME!! Also lemme tell y'all that if you're worried about monayyyyy, I am the definition of "ballin on a budget" {I'm still in need of a steady flow of income lol} so all these things I have linked for y'all are affordable.

If you too have been sucked into the Amazon black hole {or even Pinterest black hole}, you would know that once you get clicking you canNOT stop...

AMAZON.COM THANKS YOU

Not going to lie I'm kinda pissed I got suckered into buying this USB port for my computer from Best Buy cause I could do the exact same things with this one that I found on Amazon. Not to mention, the on that is from Best Buy is long and takes up so much more space so I don't lie carrying it around with me. At this point though it is kinda nice cause I get to keep one at home and then I always have one with me in my purse.

I swear, this is for my blogger babes who are always on the go, photographers who don't want to carry around a big adapter, and my fellow YouTubers.

I love my USB C HUB because it has 3 USB ports and TF and SD Card Reading. For only $20, this bad boy can do A LOT and it's super lightweight, probably the size of your middle finger {in length}, and works great with a MacBook Pro. If you don't need a bajillion features when it comes to purchasing a USB adapter {and don't feel like spending $100+ at Best Buy or Apple}, I think you need to get your hands on this one from Amazon.

Talk about a freakin game changer!!

Y'all -- I bought myself packing cubes going into the new year because part of my "2020 Mood Board" was a lot of traveling and I had seen Maggie MacDonald rave about hers {granted hers are these CalPak ones} on her YouTube channel.

Lemme just tell y'all that these have DEFINITELY made packing for me a lot easier and I have nothing but good things to say about them!! I share my packing process on my YouTube channel a lil bit, but these cubes have made my packing process a lot easier {by making me not over-pack} and they make my suitcase always look organized.

Basically after watching Maggie's video and seeing how easy her packing was with them, I immediately searched "packing cubes" on Amazon and stumbled upon these ones. For $16 I got three cubes {all different sizes} and three laundry bags.

My cubes and laundry bags go:

✩ big cube: t-shirts and sweater

✩ medium cube: jeans {or shorts} and dresses

✩ small cube: workout clothes {leggings, sports bras, pilates socks, workout tops}

✩ big laundry bag: laundry

✩ medium laundry bag: {laundry {socks and undies}

✩ small laundry bag: rhinestone belt {so it doesn't snag anything}

Let's just say that if you are going to be going on any vacations {or staycations} anytime soon, you are going to want these packing cubes!!

If you catch yourself on your phone or on a computer the majority of the day, I'm going to tell you that you should probably invest in a pair of blue light glasses. Technology {i.e. computers, phones, tvs, etc.} give off blue light which is a high-energy light that our eyes are sensitive to.

Blue light can ultimately damage your retina which has the potential to lead to blindness and by wearing blue light glasses while you are active on your screens, you are reducing or eliminating symptoms of digital eye strain.

I received a pair of blue light glasses by TIJN and they recently started selling some of their styles on Amazon {for much cheaper than their website}.

Why you should probably invest in blue light glasses:

✩ they alleviate eye discomfort with blue-screen/blue-light glasses

✩ improve sleep habits with blue-screen/blue-light glasses

✩ fight against Age-Related Macular Degeneration {AMD} with blue-screen // blue-light glasses

I absolutely love the pair that I got from TIJN because they're trendy {like they look SUPER cute on} and I can totally tell the difference when I wear them and look at a screen. They have a subtle yellow tint to them that counteracts with the blue light that my screens give off; however, I also LOVE my pair of blue light glasses that DIFF sent me a while back.

If you are looking for a pair, I have some recommendations for you:

TIJN {my Amazon pair}

DIFF

MVMT

Quay

Honestly you should probably invest in sone of these considering my blog posts are decently long and I know y'all just LOVEEEEE scrolling through them {lol}.

I'm not going to lie guys... I have {or used to have} the tendency of holding my phone while I'm driving. Part of that reason has to do with the fact that my eyesight is terrible so if I have to use Maps, I need it right in front of me BUTTTTT I'll be honest with you guys and tell you that because I hold my phone, I am more tempted to text or switch around music when I'm driving.

Bad Victoria, I know...

Click HERE for my Spotify though cause I do have some bangin playlists.

Now -- Back to my Amazon find!!

My dad would always get upset with me because he knows I hold my phone and consistently look at it when I drive {I even got a ticket for texting and driving and they ain't cheap}. I decided to get myself the cutest lil car mount and I am actually in love with my lil guy and his winky face.

For $10, I gotta say this was one of my best purchases because he just attaches to my air vent and then my iPhone slips into his arms AND I am able to keep my phone case on my phone {as long as it's not my favorite Bauble Bar case}. For $10 this car mount is also extremely sturdy and I still have easy access to my phone if I REALLY need it, but for the most part I just keep my Spotify open so I can easily click next if need be.

One year later, my little buddy is still going strong and I am so happy I got myself a mount for driving.

This cosmetic case was my favorite find on Amazon Prime Day {along with my jewelry box which is still a good deal} and I have talked SOOOOO many people into getting them for travels and honestly just for makeup storage.

It is very light weight, very spacious, has compartments for flat products and makeup brushes, and it comes with dividers.

When I first started using this makeup case I used the dividers BUT honestly I think its so much easier to just chuck my skincare, haircare, and makeup products in it and it's still easy to find everything cause it's not too deep.

If a black cosmetic case isn't your first choice though, I found this cute Louis Vuitton dupe of the same case and it has me kinda wishing I bought it in the first place. ALSO if you're a product hoarder {like myself} and think you may need a larger cosmetic case, then I found this one for y'all on Amazon and it has the same layout and look as the other black travel case.

Overall though, this has been able to hold all my travel goodies and fits PERFECTLY in my suitcase with the packing cubes.

Okieeee dokieeeeee, shark clips are for my babes who are always hustling around their house or looking to put up some of their hair when the style some because I know my girl friends like doing their hair in sections. I bought myself the sky blue shark clips for my hair when I was a junior in college because I had seen that Lauren Evarts {the Skinny Confidential} used them and I instantly got attached.

Not to mention, if you've ever been to Drybar for a blowout then you would know that they use the infamous Dryer shark clips; however, they a lot more expensive than the ones I bought on Amazon.

I absolutely love these because they have gripping action that prevent them from sliding out of one's hair AND they are also snag-free which means they perform heavy duty tasks like securing thick and dense hair without unwanted breakage and I don't know if I'm the only one BUT my hair breaks super easily and I lose a ton of hair in the shower SOOO I'd like to keep as much of my hair from breaking as possible.

In comparison to the Drybar clips which cost $16 just for four clips, the clips off Amazon are $11 and you get ten clips!! I'm actually about to talk myself into buying the pink clips now because I am currently down to four of my blue ones {lol oops}.

This is what I get for making this post and having to be on Amazon to make it I guess...

Now -- Even though I started writing this post last night {who would've thunk that linking sh*t would take so damn long} I am finishing it up this morning AND BOY HAS IT BEEN A MORNING ALREADY. Guys, I feel like I have been up five-everrrrrrr!!

This morning I was up and moving because I had my cousin drive from Brentwood to meet me for lagree at my studio in my neighborhood and then we went to grab quick drinks {and no I'm not talking about cocktails cause 1) it's WAY too early even for mimosas and 2) I am forcing myself to go out in Santa Monica on Friday}. It is now officially almost 1:00 {in the afternoon PST} and I now gotta fix myself something for lunch!!

xoxo V
