Formally Invited

Happy hump day my peeps...

I thought that I would honestly keep this to myself, but because I like to use my social media platforms to be 112% transparent with y'all I just want to share something I have been keeping to myself the past few weeks... I was finally given the "go" by the state to schedule my real estate exam. Upon receiving the approval, I immediately scheduled my exam and today was the day I took it... I miss FOUR too many questions that allows one to pass.

I failed my exam.

I wanted to keep this to myself originally because it was something that I wanted to surprise people with. I wanted to be able to tell people that I got my real estate license and I was able to keep it a secret for so long. I wanted to impress people.

The test began at 8:30 am in La Palma... It was literally 20 minutes away from the Long Beach Airport in a testing center. With traffic from my house, it would take over two hours, so I thought it would be ideal to 1) take the exam RIGHT before my birthday {I guess I had high hopes for myself} and 2) to check myself into a hotel {cause that's what Collin's mom told me she did}... Although my drive was minimized and took only about 25 minutes, I was DEVASTATED when I received the results.

I literally FaceTimed my mom {who I'm assuming thought I passed cause she had a huge smile on her face} and I broke down...

That's my tea for Wednesday though because I again just want to share with y'all things about me that I think are important to know... Once I pass, I am planning on doing a blog post dedicated primarily to taking the California Real Estate Exam though, and that's where I'll spill as much tea as possible {or is legally allowed}.

NOW -- For the main purpose of this post... I'm going to say it because I am SURE a bunch of y'all are thinking it too...

A FREAKIN TON OF PEOPLE ARE GETTING HITCHED THESE DAYS!!

Honestly, when I was younger I had thought that I would graduate from USC {who would've thought I would deny them?}, I would have a "college sweetheart" {because a high school sweetheart never really happened lol}, I would immediately be employed and able to live in a super cute apartment with my best friend {hi Tati, move back to CA please}, AND that I would be married by 24 {considering my mom got married at 23}.

Crazy, I freakin know!! I literally had my whole life planned out and I thought it was actually all going to become my reality because it's what I had thought my entire life... WRONG!!

I don't mind attending weddings though. I do love love, and I absolutely love witnessing the ones I love {as friends and family of course} get married... I swear, I cry every time... The next wedding I'm actually attending is in just a few weeks {shoutout Amanda and Calvin} and I am SOOOOO excited {and I actually got a plus one lol... surprise}.

Now, when it comes to weddings and finding the "perfect" thing to wear, I am SURE I'm not the only one who feels like I literally have NOTHING in my closet... My friends will tell you otherwise, but I PROMISE you, I have NOTHING!!

Because of this, I wanted to share with y'all some attire for both men and women {guys and gals... men and women sounds too formal to me} that I think would be PERFECT to wear as a wedding guest. You guys know the rule though, ladies first, SO if you're a guy and looking for some wedding wear inspo, be sure to scroll down because I'm sharing clothes for all mahhhh gals out there first...

Oh, and did I mention, this post is a click to shop post?! {you can thank me later}

I also tried my very best to put a variety of outfit options in this post because obviously the destinations for all weddings vary. I didn't know what kinda weather y'all would be in for {although guys, if your girl is cold, give her your coat}, I didn't know your budget {cause I too am basically ballin on a budget}, and I didn't know how fancy these weddings are that y'all are going to {however, a lot of the options I'm providing you guys with are timeless and something you can rewear to a variety of functions}.

MAH BABES:

**ps: I included a pair of Spanx in the post... they are the exact same ones I have and they are a GAME CHANGER. I swear you won't regret purchasing them from this post**

MAH STUDS:

Gahhhhh, just putting together this post gets me so excited for weddings that I'm attending and that I know are coming up!! I hope y'all are able to get some inspo, do some damage {cause you know I'm about to buy a new dress for Amanda's wedding}, and // or just buy some of these pieces to keep in your closet so you can dust them off when you do have the opportunity to attend a wedding {or something formal in the near future}.

In terms of a post for Friday, I want you to know that I'm going to do my VERY BEST to post; however, FRIDAY IS MY BIRTHDAY and I'm going to be so busy prepping for my lil weekend celebration with my gals and I also have my two workouts and a nail appointment with my mama.... So, no promises of a post on Friday.

I will eventually be sharing a post with the run down of my entire party though {fingers crossed by the end of next week} for y'all. I am sooooooo excited!! I have some exciting companies I'm working with and my mama has already helped transform the house a lil bit {from what I saw before I headed to Long Beach... rip}.

Love you all and again, HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

xoxo V
