Holy freakin nuts man!!
Did y'all watch the home run derby that happened tonight?! And if so, what did y'all think?!
Honestly, I was going CRAZYYYY!! If you follow me on Snapchat, I was sure to record myself freakin out {yup, it was in real time} and I truly don't think my followers have seen me so interested in sports before... Other than the one Kings vs Ducks game I took my brother to and went live for because of all the fights.
Anyways -- If you don't keep up with sports, and MLB to be exact, Pete Alonso ended up winning the Home Run Derby. At first I was kinda bummed, because the first side of the bracket was the most intense thing I have ever witnessed when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Joc Peterson basically had to do a shoot-out {or bat-out?} to see who would move on to the finals. Honestly, I think part of why Alonso beat Jr. was because he was exhausted BUT that's just my theory... BUTTTT, the reason why I'm not mad about it is because before the Home Run Derby even began, Alonso said that if he wins then he will donate a great portion to charity {hint: winner got $1 million}.
As much as I would LOVE to show y'all how into the Home Run Derby I got, for some reason, WiX doesn't allow me to insert a Snapchat story into my post...
Also, I forgot to mention above, it was unfortunate that Christian Yelich backed out because that's who I was truly hoping for... If you didn't hear about it, Yelich announced that he wasn't going to be participating in the Home Run Derby due to a back injury... Check out his tweet {I don't have Twitter but I have my ways of sleuthing}.
Now the question is, will he end up playing in the All-Star Game tomorrow?! I was texting his mama and she's not too sure because the Major Leagues is starting back up on Friday and he has to be well enough to play in his own game... Fingers crossed though!!
That's all I've got for tonight folks... I'm off to go to bed cause yo gurl has an early morning workout tomorrow and I have to take care of the pets before cause I also have two appointments {sugaring and lashes} tomorrow. Wish me luck {lol}.
