I hope everybody is having a better Monday than me to say the very least…
After going to bed last night at an unreasonable hour {the usual for me, but I still like to complain}, I woke up early enough to make it to my 7:30 am workout. I got my ass kicked to say the very least and legit thought I was going to puke BUT luckily I didn’t. Following my treacherous workout though, I was heading home and WHAMMMM BAMMM out of nowhere, a freakin cop on a motorcycle pulled me over.
Lemme just clarify this for you though… I workout not even ten minutes away from my home, and I had literally just left my workout like two minutes prior to being pulled over. That’s to put things into perspective when I tell y’all that I WASN’T EVEN TEXTING OR ON SOCIAL MEDIA. I had no idea where to pull into cause I was just sweating and shaking from my workout {and lack of food}, to the point I was crying. I finally had pulled into the Ferrari dealership {boujee, I know} and when I asked the officer why I had been pulled over, he told me it was very clear I was on my phone. When I offered to show him the last time I had texted someone {which was my mom 12 minutes before}, he said no SOOOOO now I get to go to court in freakin Simi Valley… And by “get to” I really mean “have to” and I’m just praying the officer doesn’t show up so that my thing gets dismissed.
Now — That was early this morning SO I thought my Monday could only go up from there. I even was on the phone with my best friend {shoutout Tati} and she even said, “at least your day can only6 get better.”

Because I had the house to myself the past few days, I was in charge of any house duties {i.e. washing dishes, vacuuming, laundry, watering the yard, etc.} and lemme tell you, my mama takes her garden EXTREMELY seriously. I have never seen a woman soooooo passionate about her garden {don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful but it’s just a ton of maintenance}. SOOOO of course today was the last day that I had to water it because my mama was coming home this evening. I freakin watered that bad boy soooooo well; however, by the time I did the front yard, I saw I was watering where bees were pollinating. I also noticed that the bees would just move away from where I was watering so I was a little worried but not TOO worried…
… UNTIL …
One bee just got super pissed off at me and I literally saw it chasing me in slow motion so I started running like a freak {if anybody in my neighborhood saw me or if any of them has a Ring doorbell, I would die to see myself in action}. I felt it land on me, looked to my left in hopes of being able to act in time and maybe flick it off of me and sprint inside; BUTTTTTT, instead I just watched as it inserted its stinger into my arm.
My oh my do bee stings freakin hurt, and I’ve only had to deal with one on my heel at the beach from stepping on it. My arm swelled up and still hurts like a b*tch and I removed one fat stinger with tweezers, the rest of the skinny part with a Dunkin’ gift card {giveaway coming soon lol} cause it’s all I could find, and then I FaceTimed both of my parents bawling my eyes out… Yes, I am a drama queen {at least I admit it}.
Long story short though, my Monday was able to get worse and I SWEARRRR I am the literal definition of bad luck… You can even ask Tori {hi, if you’re reading this lol}.

So, a lot of y’all I know follow me on the gram and at the end of last week {I think on Thursday?} I had posted to my story that I had an announcement that I wanted to share with y’all. Long story short, a couple of months ago I applied to a position with Bumble called the Global Connector Bee which is a position that would enable me to travel the world {to places like Europe, Austrailia, Canada, etc.} and ultimately blog about my experience using the three modes of Bumble: Date, BFF, and Bizz.
Out of thousands of applicants, I was one of the chosen ones to record a video that goes more into depth about the position, bumble, and me as a whole {I even incorporated bloopers because who doesn’t like those?!}. I know it may be a lil long {it’s like 9 minutes} but if you wanna learn more about this opportunity, I highly recommend you watch the video.
I swear — This is literally the job of my dreams. If you know me really well, you’d know that I have been searching for a position like this FIVE-EVERRRR and now I have the chance to show Bumble that I am capable to exceeding their expectations for this position. Fingers crossed for me, guys!!
I’ll keep y’all updated BUT until then, hopefully I’ll see yah back here on Wednesday…
