New Obsession: Charcoal Lemonade

Happy Friday lovessssss!!

I know I have been kinda MIA lately and I apologize… I REALLY need to step up my Insta-g game again and start posting more recipes and fun stuff for y’all!! I promise I will work on getting you a promo code for those vitamins that had my name on them… I just don’t want to post on them until I have actually tried them out for a while so that I can give you my honest opinion on them.

Anyways — Like the title of this post says, I have become OBSESSED with charcoal lemonade.

Once you go black, you never go back… After discovering the benefits of charcoal lemonade, I don’t think I want to drink fresh lemonade as much as I want to drink charcoal lemonade… Soooo that saying is NOT wrong.

Honestly, I was sooooo nervous to try it because what sounds appetizing about charcoal… CHARCOAL!! The drink is black {remember that black water fad?!}, but the drink tastes exactly like lemonade… MIND BLOWN!!

Charcoal lemonade works as a detox for any of y’all wanting that… Actually though… I think I found my drink for a morning after consuming way too much alcohol {which is probably every time I pick up a cocktail… Go hard or go home. Am I right?}.

Basically the drink gets its color from activated charcoal powder mixed with lemonade. In many cases when you think of charcoal, you think of peat, coal, wood, coconut shell, or petroleum… Sounds delicious, right? Activated charcoal is made the same way; however, in many instances, it is used for medical reasons.

BENEFITS OF DRINKING CHARCOAL LEMONADE:

☆ The activated charcoal helps flush out unwanted chemicals in the body {aka hangover cute}

☆ The charcoal moves particles out of the gastrointestinal tract {ultimately helping with any bathroom issues, if you know what I mean}

☆ Some have activated CBD in them {you still can’t taste it} which helps to relax the body and the mind… If you’re wanting to get high, the drink won’t do that

NOW — If you’re wanting to try to be apart of the fad {like I did}, then I highly recommend trying out some charcoal {black // dirty} lemonade… I got mine from a place in Santa Monica called Greenleaf, but since I’m back in Texas, I think it’s time for me to branch out.

I’ll probably head to some of my favorite markets today {like Central Market… If you visit TX, it’s life changing and you HAVE to go}, and see what kinda goodies I can find. I know you can find the charcoal lemonade online too from a bunch of different stores… I would suggest trying Pressed, Suja Juice, and Dirty Lemon.

ALSO — While I was scrolling through Pressed’s juices, I came across BLUE LEMONADE!! I guess that’s the next thing I have to try {before it becomes a trend and it's everywhere}!!

Well, wish me luck at the markets today!!

xoxo V
