October Update

Happy Wednesday errybodyyyyy!!

Once again, I am so sorry for this delayed post… BUTTTTT at least I’m actually getting around to posting it… Right?!

Anyways — I know I haven’t really done a full {but short and sweet} update in quite some time sooooo I figured I would do one now. If you didn’t know already, I am back in California for about a week, so I’m going to be posting this week based on West Coast time.

Now, I also got a new phone for those of you who haven’t kept up with me in relation to that… That being said, I don’t have a lot of numbers anymore because I wanted to start it as a “new phone” rather than backing up… I wanted a fresh start. Not that anything bad // sad happened recently that is making me want to do this, I just love a lil change here and there.

School:

Sooooooo, for my family {and friends} whom continuously text me // call me asking me how school is going, you tell me… I get to spend an extra six months {my lease is seven months} in a super cute town that is full of my favorite guac, I get to see another season of TCU football in the Amon, I am only taking two classes {Monday // Wednesday}, I don’t have a job {other than nannying}, etc. I love how this semester is going for me. I am taking a required journalism class and then I’m also taking photography because I am interested in it {y’all should see my portfolio so far}.

With classes only being two days a week and nannying only being one day a week, I get to spend the rest of my time at my favorite coffee shop next to my apartment {shoutout Ampersand}, I get to continue blogging on a regular basis, I get to take mini trips {on my own dollar… even though I should probably be saving up for an apartment… oops}, I have been applying to jobs {which leads me to my next thing}, etc.

Work:

As of now, I am “technically” a free woman. My set nannying day of the week is always Thursday in Dallas and then I will nanny the little girl y’all always see in my stories occasionally and I will babysit a little here and there.

Blogging, although I don’t necessarily get paid for all my posts {or even the majority of my posts}, I put a lot of time and energy into them and therefore would consider it work {or working for myself, for free lol}. With that, I want to know more what what YOU GUYS want me to write about so please please pleaseeeee reach out to me because I love hearing from y’all… Even if it’s just to say hi!!

Also… Like I said above, I have been applying to jobs. HOLY NUTS THOUGH, it is so dang stressful because a lot of the time you just don’t hear back from companies. I have been applying to companies primarily in New York, San Diego, and Los Angeles {mainly for marketing and social media positions}; however, I have applied to other places too {like Dallas, Colorado, Boston, etc.}. I actually have an interview in San Diego tomorrow that I’m pumped about, but I don’t want to tell y’all too much so I’m not going to say the name. This certain company reached out to me my junior year of college, I met with a representative from the company my first semester of senior year and was offered a more official interview in the Dallas office until it was made clear that I was graduating late, I was contacted an uncountable times via LinkedIn by the same company, did an official interview in Dallas, and now I’m interviewing for the same position in San Diego… Maybe SD will be my future home {like I had originally told my mom in high school}?!

Family & Friends:

I ALWAYS get asked about these two things, so yeah… EVERYBODY’S GREAT!!

Being in California and staying with my parents is a breath of fresh air {and maybe cause it’s the ocean breeze or cause I get to sleep in my og bed with my pups but it’s nice} even though I was with my family in Texas just last week. For those of you who know about my Papa and check in on him, he is quite the trooper. I’m actually typing this at my Nanie and Papa’s house in Newport and although he has been through so much, he is a fighter {Nanie’s good too lol… She’s always telling me about how “incredible of a young woman” I have grown up to be after “being such a brat” when I was younger}. Nana and Grandpa are doing well too and I get to see that whole side of the family on Sunday. Only tough thing going on there is: My nana fell out of bed a couple of months ago and did something to her back and hip so the doctors have been trying to figure out the issues there. Last but not least… My kiddos {aka Harley and Kona} are fabulous and be on the lookout for a post this Friday!! I’m going to be sharing a promo code with y’all to get some cute leashes for your furry friends.

Now my non furry friends are doing great too, it’s just so freakin weird because so many of my friends are in different states now. Yes, the majority of them still have boyfriends, one is married, some are living their best lives in big cities, etc. BUTTTT thank goodness for texting and FaceTime!!

Love life:

Why is it that the first question my friends and family ask when I see them is: Are there any boys in your life?!

Travel:

Yes — I know I have been slacking on my travel posts and vlogs BUT I PROMISE that I’m going to do as much as I can before my week in California is over with. I have recently gone to Chicago, California, New York, and Austin for a music festival {and now I’m back in California}, so I know theres tons to do.

Also, as of now I already have two more trips officially planned to Boston and California and then I am trying to plan two more to Denver and New York {and my fingers are crossed for London in January but that lil trip is highly unlikely… Mom, if you’re reading this… CAN WE PRETTY PLEASE GO?!}.

Blogging:

I am hoping to hit y’all with a few more promo codes coming up, I am hoping to post recipes a lil more often so you guys can see what kinda things I like eating {and maybe you would wanna cook or prepare something like them}, I am hoping to try a bone broth fast and maybe intermittent fasting, etc. I have lots of things coming up that will hopefully interest y’all!!
