Haircare Must Haves

WET BRUSH:

If you’re going to say you’re not going to get a Wet Brush because you have a tough scalp… I’ve been there too. After years of cheerleading and dance competitions and performances, my scalp is probably as tough as they get; however, once I was talked into a Wet Brush by one of my hair dudes, I have never looked back. Wet Brushes are made with IntelliFlex bristles that help brush through your hair with the least amount of damage possible. Not to mention, they come in a bunch of different colors and designs and you can get them at your local stores {like Target and CVS} OR on Amazon… My favorite so far: LEOPARD!!

DRY SHAMPOO:

I have officially converted from washing my hair every single night to heavily relying on dry shampoo. By washing your hair EVERY DAY, you are washing away the natural oils that are actually helping your hair grow and keeping it healthy. Stripping away those oils and nutrients may lead to dry and brittle hair and lead to more split ends than usual {and nobody likes that}. ALSO, being that I just got my hair balayaged, by washing hair more frequently, it is possible for the color to fade more quickly. After trying a bunch of different dry shampoos, I have found MY FAVORITE one. I bought it at Sephora and it doesn’t leave any white // powdery substance in my scalp, so I am able to not wash my hair for consecutive days. I literally take it with me everywhere now!!

ALLIGATOR CLIPS:

Okay — My mom saw me walking around with one of these in my hair the other day and said it was HIDEOUS, but I am obsessed with mine. DryBar uses them in yellow {which is what many people associate these clips with}, hair salons use them, and now I use them {I got more than DryBar for cheaper on Amazon}. Honestly, I find them so useful and they do the job without me having to tie my hair up every day. I don’t know what it is about wearing my hair down, but I hate it… SOOOO I’m always causing damage to my hair by doing a tight high pony or messy bun {hello damaged and broken hair}. I now always carry these alligator {or shark} clips in my handbag. I use them if i have curled my hair and need to shower but don’t wanna get my hair wet. I use them to put up my hair when I wash my face. I use them when I’m running errand. I use them ALL THE TIME!!

HAPPY SHOPPING!!

xoxo V
