As a lot of you know, I am absolutely OBSESSED with face masks. I depend on them soooo much to clear my skin and calm me down after long days in the office {or now after sitting in class}. Taking care of your skin is so simple, but not many people like to do it because so many people consider it to be “time consuming.”
IT’S NOT THOUGH!!
After getting home for the day, I like to shower so that I feel clean {wash my hair every 3-4 days to keep some natural oils up in therrrrr}, I like to do a deep scrub of my face to open my pores, pat my face dry, wipe my face with some micellar water, and then apply a face mask.
Once that face mask is on, and although the many instructions say to leave them on for about 10 to 15ish minutes, what ACTUALLY happens if you leave it on longer?!
For me, nothing… Not a thing. No thing{s} happens to my skin if I leave it on longer.
Once my mask is on, I can cook my dinner if I haven’t eaten yet {unless its a hardening clay mask that might start cracking into my food}, I sometimes sit back with a glass of wine and watch some Netflix, I blog, I do sooooo much and putting the face mask on and taking it off only takes up about FIVE EXTRA MINUTES!!
When you are ready to take it off, make sure you wash your face and PAT IT DRY!! Pulling at your skin is only going to cause wrinkles, and we’re trying to prevent those by using the face masks. To prep my skin for anything and everything {like traveling or school or work} I fully rely on face masks AND I rely on them for after a day of photoshoots from wearing too much makeup or festivals.
FACE MASKS ARE MY LIFE!!
Now — if you want to take EXTRA care of your skin so that you can look your youngest possible, I personally LOVE using essential oils after, but that’ll be a post for another time... Maybe I'll include that in my vlog that later shows my typical night getting ready for bed.
HERE I HAVE LISTED A FEW OF MY FAVORITE FACE MASKS, SO I HOPE THIS HELPS {all pictured here}:
☆ GlamGlow Supermud: One of the very first face masks I ever fell in love with used to clear skin by grabbing onto all the dirt and toxins {WARNING: this one cracks, so don't good while wearing it unless you want face mask peppering your food} ☆ GlamGlow Thirstymud: Used to hydrate your skin and it truly works like a charm {ps: it smells INCREDIBLE}... I like to use it after the Supermud mask because it cools my face and feels like it is putting nutrients back into my skin
☆ GlamGlow Flashmud: Brightening treatment that brings life back into your skin {it's PERFECT for Vegas if you have a girl's trip there}
☆ GlamGlow Gravitymud: I love this one {limited edition My Little Pony one} because it not only has sparkles BUT it has ingredients in it that are used to firm your skin
☆ Generation Clay Brightening Mask: Benefits include restoration, radiance, brightening, and refining {it feels AMAZING painting it on and my skin feels nice and fresh once it's off}
☆ Generation Clay Purifying Mask: Used to suck all the toxins out of your pores and leaves your face feeling as smooth as a baby's butt {I'm seriously not even kidding}
☆ Origins GinZing Peel: Helps peel off dead skin and dirt {WARNING: hurts like a BEYOTCH to take off} but feels amazing after
☆ Origins Charcoal Mask: Lifts the yuck to the top and clears pores
☆ Omorovicza Cleansing Mask: Face mask that I bought in Europe {but can be bought online} and clears, brightens, and tones pores
☆ Omorovicza Cleansing Balm: Used to detoxify and purify the skin {and I sometimes use it as a makeup remover alternative}
Now Friday I am going to be jet setting to Chicago to visit Tori SOOO 1) I'm praying that my WiFi will work so that I can keep to my schedule and post once I get off my flight and 2) I am banking on my face masks to save my skin after a flight on a stuffy plane full of grossness. Stay tuned via my Insta and // or Snapchat!!
