Bumble Event

A lot of you guys have been asking me recently about the Bumble meet up I want to last weekend in Dallas, and I am SO SO SO sorry I never posted about it... If you remember my last post, I thought that I would be sharing with you some information and my experience shooting for a bridal company but I am still waiting on those photos and videos, so I figured I would fill you in on the meet up and PR event I went to last weekend.

SOOOOO last Saturday Kaylie {one of my roomies from Barcelona who just moved to Las Colinas} and I decided to go to this PR event to give us something to do. I figured because she was new to Texas, I would show her around.

Saturday morning {around 10ish} we met in the Uptown parking garage and then Ubered to one of my favorite Dallas locations: Hotel Zaza for brunch. For ANYBODY looking for a yummy breakfast and BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS, I highly recommend you hit up Dragonfly.

I swear to you, our waiter was trying to make us drunk off of mimosas or something because he would "top off" our drinks after every like two sips... D A N G E R O U S !!

I had some eggs with veggies and bacon and Kaylie had some egg wrap BUT from what we remember, our brunch was soooo yummy.

Following lunch we hopped right into another Uber and headed to the event location which was just another 5 minutes away. The event was ALL girls, except for the few guys who were working the event photo booth and food stand.

We had our photo taken with some trippy photo ability thing {which you can see on my insta-g} and then we were off to grab all the snacks before heading to our chairs.

The primary discussion of the event was women empowerment and it was so cool having the chance to hear not only Jenna Owens from the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show and Dani Austin , a Dallas blogger, but also a bunch of other women speak about their aspirations and ask for advice in the social media and // or dating world.

It was so neat having the opportunity to hear about how these women began their journey and went from nothing to becoming "public figures." Both went from just ordinary girls to running their own empires. Jenna went from just one of us to becoming a co-host on the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show and creating her own fitness // wellness brand: Fitish. Dani went from just one of us to becoming a well known Dallas blogger and launching her own brand: The Sassy Club which brings women throughout the Dallas region together.

Overall, the panel of the two of them was motivating and helped me realize that if I want to become something, it takes time and won't just happen at the snap of a finger.

After a short break we went back inside and had the chance to listen to Rachel Lindsay from the Bachelorette speak.

I'll be honest, I wasn't really into her season of the Bachelorette BUT after having the opportunity to listen to her talk about her time on the show, her previous dating experiences, etc. and having the chance to talk to her about my own hometown {Westlake Village}, I love her. She is soooo sweet and soooo genuine and we have the same taste in places for wine and shopping back in CA {shoutout to Stonehaus and Siany}.

Also, I'll let you in on a LITTLE SECRET: Rachel wanted Becca to choose Blake over Garrett on this season of Bachelorette!! Are you shook?! Because I am, considering she already knew who Becca chose {and I looked at Reality Steve the second week of the show}, but when somebody asked she said "Who do I think Becca is going to choose? Well, I'll tell you who I want Becca to choose. I really love Blake."

I have no words cause OBVIOUSLY she already knew who Becca chose {you know, because they're friends}, yet she wanted the other guy... BUTTTTT that just leaves Blake for the rest of us I guess. Anyone down for a trip to Colorado with me?!

Anyways, that's the general overview of the Bumble event I went to. If you wanna hear more about it, feel free to reach out to me!! I LOVE hearing from y'all!! And if you're in Texas, we can even talk about it in person, sipping wine {or tea or fruit infused water} through the Bumble straws I grabbed {hehe}.

xoxo V
