WELL. I have made a new goal for myself to become more consistent in uploading content and keeping y'all updated on my blog, as I know some of you are my family members and interested in keeping up — Nanie, you sent me an email instead of a text again hehe.
Anyways, I am going to be posting EVERY Monday {or Tuesday} and then again on Friday. My priority is to provide you with something you are interested in at the beginning of the week and then I want to end the week with more personal // life updates, so if you have any questions you wanna know or just wanna chat, get connected with me.

Now, let’s begin with the fact though that this summer is SPEEDING by… It’s actually CRAZY!! From what I thought would be a laid-back summer, ended up with me getting my blog going again, working full time, working out, and focusing more on myself.
ALSO — I move next week to my new apartment!! I have LITERALLY been counting down the days since before finals and even started packing weeks ago… and yup, I’m still not done packing!! But, when the time comes, I will be sure to post about my big move and how my sweet mama and I set up my place… There will be a wii also, so if you live in the Texas area and want to hang out or have a friendly Wii Sports competition, hit yo gurl up.
Now, in the in-between time of working, packing, and getting caught up on Bachelorette, I have dedicated time to working with some special companies as well as reading and working on some new jacket creations for So Cali Creations {which will soon have a new name… I just need to get it trademarked}. When it comes to the companies, I will be filling y’all in on some new products I am absolutely loving these days, trends and styles I am wearing {along with some discount codes}, etc.
Did I also mention I managed to find time to fly back home to California for a weekend?! Ugh it was such a dream. Last week I was able to fly home on Thursday night after work and then spend the weekend at the beach with my mom’s whole side of the family for her parent’s 60TH ANNIVERSARY!! Real talk though, EVERYBODY has been asking me about my job. I have posted a few photos and videos to both my Instagram stories and my Snapchat stories because I have had the opportunity to get more involved in the company, and it always results to people “sliding in the DMs.” I work full time {9 to 5} Monday through Friday, and luckily my boss is super chill because I have the ability to work from home the majority of Wednesdays and Fridays but I am constantly busy. I currently am working in the corporate marketing sector of Greystar, primarily focusing on event planning.
For those of you who don't know what Greystar is, which honestly I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what it was before I started working there, it is a commercial real estate company that specializes in multi-family housing. We have heaps of offices and apartments throughout the United States and more recently have expanded to Europe and Asia {i.e. maybe my London dream can become a reality}. Now with event planning, I had NO IDEA what ACTUALLY went into this because when it comes to events, I would typically just show up and say “thanks” when I leave. With my position, I am having to site source locations and venues, schedule transportation, book off-site locations {different from hotels} for dinners or activities, create budgets, plan AV, etc. It is a freakin handful, but so far I love who I get to work beside and the experience has been amazing.
NOW — With working, I feel like I am more of an “adult” and having to do “real life” tasks, so with that I began listening to podcasts rather than blasting my favorite Spotify playlist while driving to and from work… Thank you dad for bringing up the idea of listening to podcasts, and thank you work for being located a good hour away from home and giving me time to listen to multiple episodes in one day. Honestly, I have some of these podcasts to thank as well for giving me inspiration and motivation to actually get my blog going again {also kinda wanting to do a podcast but I don't think anyone would listen so lemme know your thoughts}… MY CREATIVE JUICES ARE FLOWING and I want to share with YOU what I’m listening to because you may like them too and feel inspired after listening.
