From Wet to Wild

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Y'ALL!!

It is officially July 4th at 1:30 in the morning as I write this post and the insomnia has kicked in hard. I had the BEST dinner at Mesero {and I think I go there too often because the people know my order} and then I went to see the movie Sicario {which I also highly recommend to whomever is reading this post} so I am FINALLY settling down in my bed.

Anyways, now that the 4th is here, I just figured I would share some outfit inspo for you to kick off your day. I'm assuming based on the people whom I have talked to throughout the map, many typically spend the holiday at the pool or beach and then end it with the typical BBQ. So ladies... it's time for y'all to hang up your aprons and pass the steel grill tongs to your hunky men!!

WET OUTFIT:

For when you go to the beach or pool {or what ever you do during the day}, the sun will be your best friend. Pack up your sun screen {or tanning oil... hello skin cancer} and RELAX!! I know I am going to head to the pool to claim my spot a little bit early BUT I canNOT wait to smell the BBQ while reading one of my new favorite books!! Also, be sure to stay hydrated. I know a lot of people view the holiday as an excuse to drink, but keep some water in a Corckcicle to keep it cold throughout the day and make sure you remain hydrated.

SHOP MY LOOK:

* USA Drinking Team T-Shirt {Wildfox Collection 2016}

* LA Hat {NY Hat in stock}

* "Why Men Love Bitches" Book by Sherry Argov

* Calvin Klein Bikini Top

* Blue Velvet Sporty Bikini Bottoms {bought from a boutique in Spain}

Wild OUTFIT:

Now comes the "wild" part of the fourth because I am kinda assuming that the majority of my readers and subscribers are over the age of 21, but even if you aren't you can still shop this look!! Anyways, the night time is when the day drinking has already happened; however, more champagne bottles are being popped to the sound of fireworks. My Fourth of July evening wear is more casual, as typically I spend it with my family back in Los Angeles or San Diego going to dinner and watching fireworks on the beach. If you are looking for dressier Independence Day inspo, head to my About page and connect with me!! I would be more than happy to send you some ideas.

SHOP MY LOOK:

* Red, White, and Blue Oversized Sweater {Wildfox Collection 2017}

* Levi's Skirt {bought from a flea market on Melrose in CA} * Adjustable and Reversible Gancini Belt

* Red Star Superga Platform Sneaker {bought from a boutique in Sweden}

* Rebecca Minkoff Unlined Studded Tote {Available in burgundy}

I hope everybody has an amazing and safe Fourth of July!! Don't forget to use Uber or Lyft if you're going to be partaking in some beer pong or drinking games. If you are interested in seeing what I do the rest of today {hopefully I wake up early enough to claim my territory at the pool}, feel free to add me on Instagram and watch my stories throughout the day!! My goal is to find somewhere to see fireworks by the end of the day, as this is my first year I am in Texas for the holiday.

xoxo V
