Graduation and On

Oh my, oh my. What a bittersweet time of the year this has been, but I am so fortunate for all the friends and memories I have made during my four years at Texas Christian University. Friends that will last a life time. Best friends who will hopefully be in my wedding one day. Memories that I will cherish forever.

Although I did not have the opportunity to walk in a purple cap and gown this past week, I got to witness a few of my friends during one of the ceremonies.

To say the least, these past few weeks have been hell {excuse my French}. I had AT LEAST one final in each and every one of my classes {that’s a minimum of six}, and what infuriated me even more was that my last final {Thursday night} was optional to the “graduating seniors,” but nobody else {including me who held senior status}.

On top of studying for finals and doing final projects, I was also taking people’s senior photos, nannying for my sweet little Maida {whom everybody believes is my child}, and finalizing my summer plans… I will be interning at Greystar this summer!! I can’t wait for this opportunity, as I have heard nothing but great things about the company and I will have the chance to do both marketing and event planning.

In terms of being a senior, I believe reality is beginning to hit everyone at this point. Those who don't have jobs are beginning to worry as they pack up their lives at TCU and move back home with their parents, and those who have accepted positions to jobs are starting to stress as they think of the cheapest meal they can fill their refrigerator with. I know that all of my friends are capable of doing big things and I can’t wait to see what everybody will be doing with their futures.

This upcoming week of have one of my best friend’s bachelorette parties and then I am one of the bridesmaids in her wedding… CRAZY!! I freakin know, but it’s such an exciting {and hectic} time. Stay tuned for a bachelorette weekender update on my travel blog!!

While I am working full time at Greystar this summer, I will continue to create some cute designs for So Cali Creations, I will be packing up my current room in order to move into my new apartment the last week of July, and I am hoping to fill some weekends with fun {as of now, Outsidelands is tentative but highly likely}. I hope to actually read some of the books I have bought to help me with managing my own business and budgeting my money {rather than spending it right when I get it}.

If y'all are interested in reading about some things that are more specific or topic oriented {like fashion, travel, entertainment, etc.} please get in contact with me, as I love hearing from you all!! I can’t wait to keep y'all updated this summer!! Hopefully I will find myself doing some fun things to blog about, but until then, thanks for the love and support!!

xoxo v
