Words cannot even begin to describe the excitement I have for my best friend… I met the sweet Chicago soul, Eva Amble, during frog camp of 2014. It was she who became my very best friend within minutes of knowing each other. It was she who I knew would be a lifelong friend. She was the first fellow frog that I met and the first person I INSTANTLY clicked with.
From our first nights of knowing each other during frog camp; managing to order the same Starbucks drinks, laughing like crazy lil freshmen, and crushin HARD on one of the counselors… She was by my side from the beginning.
Later that summer I visited Chicago and we began making more memories together. Exploring the city and taking pictures every chance we got.
Later, we began our freshman year. The new chapter of our lives. WE ENDED UP IN THE SAME SORORITY {to begin with} and we became inseparable. My dorm room became her home away from home. We would go out together, BUT we would also stay in together. With our usual; face masks, cookie dough, and Mi Cocina queso, we would watch movies in the study lounge while watching the rest of the social people hit the bars.
The years breezed by…
Living together in the sorority house sophomore year and part of junior year {until I left for Europe}, and even then, I had the chance to see Eva in Spain.
This Chicago babe is EVERYTHING and a side of guac {cause yah know… it’s extra}!! She is faithful to the lord, has the kindest heart and works with nonprofits, and is as fit as one can get. Eva is one freakin beautiful soul and I am so freakin lucky to have this Pizza Snob lovin babe in my life.
Now… Fast forward some time…
On October 21, 2017, Eva’s boyfriend {Thomas Walker} of eleven months got on one knee and asked my best friend to marry him. It was a pleasure to be a part of the surprise, and I was so blessed to witness it firsthand and have the opportunity to take some beautiful photos of the newly engaged couple {you can find more photographs on my Facebook as a public album}. Thomas put a ring on it and now the countdown begins until her next magical day.
I canNOT WAIT to stand by your side at the alter, grow old with you, and continue our adventures in the future. Thomas is one freakin lucky dude to have stolen your heart and I’m excited to see where this journey will take y’all!! Love you long time!!
