Headed to La Jolla

FullSizeRender-6.jpg

I CANNOT WAIT to relax in La Jolla, San Diego the next few days. I will not be gone long, but it’s the perfect amount of time to take a break from Westlake. As I pack for my lil family getaway, I decided to share a few of my necessities…

Pictured:

  • running shorts & sports bra: for early sunrise runs on the beach

  • bathing suits: because what are clothes when you're staying right on the beach

  • journal: for thoughts running through my head

  • book: to clear my mind throughout the day

  • sunglasses: {self explanatory}

  • cameras: to capture the family moments and to make memories

  • tanning oil: spf 15 because it still has the perfect amount of skin protection but I want to be tan

  • sunbum: to ease my skin of sunburn

Not Pictured:

  • yoga mat: for early sunrise yoga on the beach

  • surfboard: {self explanatory}

  • more bathing suits: same reason as above

  • my computer: if I’m in the mood to blog at all

If anybody tries to contact me {via text message} these next few days, I am sorry if I don’t reply, or if my response is extremely delayed. I will be spending as much time with my family as possible. I would rather play Scrabble with my nana and grandpa, go surfing with my dad and brother, go on a beach walk with my mama, or go to the village with my cousins, than reply to a silly text message.

I am looking forward to waking up to the beautiful sunrise {thanks to my beachfront room}, surfing with my dad and brother, exploring a few new organic food places, doing yoga as the sun is peaking above the horizon, making yummy food for the family with my mama and nana, going on long runs along the shoreline, and spending time with my amazing family. As you can tell, just by reading this, I am pretty dang excited for this little time away. I have not been to the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club for over seven years due to all of the family’s schedules clashing, but it is so great having the opportunity to go once more.
