You {Lauren}, Me, and Capri

Whoever said that booking a trip to another country, two days in advance, was impossible was CLEARLY wrong because that is EXACTLY what Lauren and I did. Although I do not recommend it, as flights and hotels are not the cheapest when scheduled at last minute, it is definitely possible. Originally we were hoping to make it to Greece; that didn't happen. Then we were hoping to look into Lugano, Switzerland because my mama did research on that and said it was beautiful and located on the other side of Lake Como; that didn't happen either. We also didn't just wanna stay in Barcelona, as that’s where we are during the entire week, SO mama Doder was a little angel and recommended Capri… We instantly booked that; however, we were going to have to spend the night somewhere else because I couldn't miss work, and we weren't scheduled to land in Naples until around ten at night.

Right when we landed, we got STRAIGHT into a taxi and then journeyed about an hour to our hotel, located in Sorrento. after winding up a hill for quite some time, we finally made it, found out there was NO wifi at our hotel, and we were starving. Thank goodness we found a little cafe that was JUST closing at eleven at night because they were so kind to let us have water and a pizza roll and then we went straight back to our place to have a bubble bath.

The next morning, we had to check out by eleven, so we went down to the buffet to eat our breakfast and schedule our bus ride to the port, and then we went upstairs to pack our bags in order to store them. Because the morning buses were full, we got to spend a couple of hours hanging out by the pool, taking cute pictures, and researching things to do in Capri. At noon, we finally got to load up and head down to near where the port is, and our two little wandering brains OBVIOUSLY got caught up and sidetracked by a couple of stores along the way where we did some damage {daddy, I promise it was worth it!!} and then we headed down to grab a ticket for the ferry to get to Capri.

When we finally made it to the STUNNING island, after a twenty minute ferry ride with a couple of workers we became friends with, we headed to our hotel, had lunch, and then put our stuff in the room in order to do some exploring. After asking the front desk where they recommended us to go to a beach, we were recommended a beautiful beach in which we had to walk about four miles and climb down a mountain to get to. Expecting to swim, we didn't bring any of our belongings; however, upon our arrival, we were told that it was a private beach and that we were going to have to pay forty-five euros EACH in order to reserve a spot. To didn't happen, as it was IMPOSSIBLE considering we were not told that it was a private beach and we didn't take any dang money SOOOO we had to hike back up, who knows how many miles, and we decided to just take a bubble bath before our dinner reservations at a super yummy Italian restaurant just a ten minute walk away.

The next day, we wanted to make the most of considering it was our last day and we had a flight that night, so we got up decently early to grab some breakfast and champagne and book a private boat tour of the grottos. The tour was SOOO much fun, and our little captain was so funny!! He took us to ALL of the grottos {i.e. blue, green, and white} and to a few secret ones that not many people know about; however the one bummer was we were unable to go inside the blue grotto because the wait to get in was about an hour minimum and we wanted to make the most of our two hour tour. I guess that just means we have to take a trip there again, Doder Family {wink wink}.

The views were absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the water was perfect, and the time went by WAY too quickly. Before we knew it we had sam through the green grotto, Lauren had gotten the number of some other captain, we took a ton of pictures and videos of our adventure, and we were back at the dock. There is no doubt that leaving Capri was one of the hardest things that I had to do… OH, also I treated myself to multiple granitas {the Italian lemon ice} which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I have missed OH SO DEARLY since the last time I went to Italy with my family YEARS ago.

Within the couple of hours of arriving back at the dock, Lauren and I had to make our way back up to the hotel, pack our bags, shower, and then we proceeded to around a couple of the shops and got one of the best lunches {or just best gnocchi} after at a place with a beautiful view. Within no time, we were done with our food and having to grab our bags from the hotel once more in order to head back down to the port and grab a ferry back to Naples in order to catch our flight. It was so bittersweet leaving, as I believe that everything was so rushed in Capri and I could easily just go there to relax for a week or so and we had to squeeze that in about twenty four hours, but until next time Capri!!

Stay tuned for next weekend!! Lauren and I are heading to London for the Justin Bieber and Martin Garrix music festival we booked back in February AND I’m getting to meet up with Ryan {the guy I mentioned in my Ibiza post}!! Can’t wait for what’s to come and I cant believe I have just about a month left before I head back to America!! CRAZYYYY!!

xoxo V
