I know It has been a minute since I’ve posted on my travel blog but I’M BACKKKK {and fingers crossed I can pick up on the traveling in the near future so that I can have more posts on this blog}.
As many of y’all know, if you’ve been keeping up with my personal blog, you would know that I went on a lil trip to Santa Barbara on May 17th. Basically, there were eight of us girls who got together from all of Southern California {as far as San Diego} and hopped in our cars to meet up with each other for some content. To be fully honest, I didn’t know any of the girls before the trip was planned, but now McKenna and I are inseparable… T-goodness for being basically neighbors!!
To say the very least, our car was PACKED to the brim. There were five of us and I swear, it looked as though we were moving to another country with how much we packed… You can watch our vlog from Santa Barbara in order to get a better idea of our girls trip.
To begin with, we were on the road by 7:00 a.m. and our first stop was Coffee Bean {my absolute favorite}. Also, I think I’ve become a pro at converting people to love matcha from CBTL… If you haven’t tried it, I HIGHLY recommend a matcha ice blended with almond milk. You can click HERE to download the app and get a lil reward from me {aka a FREE DRINK}.
From teas and coffees, it was off to Santa Barbara, and thank goodness we did not hit any Friday morning work traffic because we made it to Miss Behavin’ Boutique just in time for our lil collab shopping event. Honestly, in all the times I visited two of my friends at UCSB, I have always spotted the store on Trigo Road {near where all the students live in Isla Vista}; however, I never got myself to go in. I now regret not strolling around the boutique in the past because they have some of the CUTEST clothes and accessories.
I mean, how freakin cute is my two piece and jean jacket?! I am a lil bit obsessed and yellow is slowly but surely becoming one of my favorite colors.
NOW, if you TRULY know me, you’d know I can’t go hours without eating so our first stop right after the first event was {basically} brunch at Sandbar on State Street. Think unlimited chips and salsa butttttt unfortunately, not the best tacos. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve lived in Texas where I was the Queen of Mesero {my favorite place with really yummy everything} or because stuff on their menu was just cheap BUT Sandbar is definitely not my favorite and I don’t think I’ll be goin back {or if I do, I wont get tacos again}.
After eating way too much our tummies could handle {I always blame the chips and salsa}, we turned McKenna’s car into a dressing room while the other two car used their cars to change and then we took over State Street to start shooting content for the other companies we were collaborating with… I swear, my dad even noticed all the outfit changes in the YouTube video lol.
Up next, our car was on our way to find a new location to shoot some content. To say the least though, the beach was NOT our friend and the wind did us dirty. Think about wind blowing at an uncontrollable speed with sand in it… It doesn’t feel great when it hits your body and definitely does not feel great when it gets in your eyes.
Because we failed at shooting on the beach though, we managed to find ourselves at Hotel Milo which was just across the street. For about an hour we took photos of each other, did outfit changes on the side of the road, witnessed a homeless man doing something he shouldn’t have been, and just talked in the car for a lil bit before we had to make our way to our next destination…
WINE THERAPY!! Wine Therapy is a cute lil wine bar {and it's dog friendly} that is on State Street and they were so generous to give us a tab during their happy hour. To say the very least, after two peach frosés, you start feelin yourself… or at least I did… But it did help that the lil wine bar provided us with unlimited snackies {as seen in the vlog} AND the back patio was super cute for pictures {which is always a plus for those of you wanting some insta g pics}.
Ultimately though, after about two hours, we were ready to caravan back to Westlake Village; however, we left just in time to hit traffic BUT the pizookie and pizza at the end of the drive made it all worth it. So, until my next trip, I hope you enjoyed this lil Santa Barbara update and make sure you’re consistently checking on my personal blog for all sorts of updates!!
