New York: Food & Style Guide

Woke up at 4:25 this morning {New York time} and currently running on less than four hours of sleep and just waiting for the plane to land because it has been IMPOSSIBLE for me to sleep.

Anyways -- If you kept up with my insta g and snaps, then you would know that I flew out to the big apple for the weekend {aka Thursday night through this morning} and I will share more about my trip on my travel blog by the end of this week!! But I figured I would give y'all a lil insight into two of my day outfits and one of my night out outfits {because the others weren't photographed} and then share three cute // instagram worthy brunch places.

DAY OUTFITS:

SHOP MY LOOK:

Romper {warning: kinda see through and I had no idea until I was in Brooklyn and I was forced to buy myself some Hanky Pankys}

SHOP MY LOOK:

Burberry Skirt {somehow it's a child's skirt}

BRUNCHIN' IN THE BIG APPLE:

CITIZENS OF CHELSEA: SOOOOOO freakin delicious... And I am not just talking about the "Frose With Friends" which is the lil copper pot with two straws peeping out. Tatiana and I decided to go to Citizens because when we wanted to the last time we were out together, it was closed. The portions were just WOW {if you couldn't tell} and the inside was super cute. There are some illuminated lights inside as well as a ton of shrubbery and ferns. The servers were nice and there was always somebody coming to our table to check on us, and it was just overall a delicious {and potentially tipsy} breakfast.

SUNDAYS IN BROOKLYN: On Saturday {how upsetting that it wasn't a Sunday} we went to Brooklyn, which is a place I haven't spent time in and I never realized how big of a deal Brooklyn was. The place, which I learned about through Yelp, although it was super cute had TERRIBLE service. Our wait was almost two hours {which is understandable for a yummy place} BUT once we actually sat down, we didn't see our server a minimum of a half an hour before we even got to order drinks... OVER PRICED to say the very least. Tatiana and I both ordered orange juices which came to us lukewarm and in a cup the size of a soda can for $8. While the place was cute {and three stories} with good natural lighting for photos and the food {I had a quinoa lentil bowl} was yummy, the amount of time spent at the restaurant was not worth it.

WHILE WE WERE YOUNG: Suchhhhh a cute place in West Village, and to be honest, when you look at their insta, the place looks A LOT bigger than it actually is. Bri, Tati, and I went and luckily it was more afternoon than brunch time, so the wait wasn't long BUT there are only four tables in the restaurant. Another place that is VERY overpriced, but still soooooo stinking cute!! My avocado toast was $18 {as were the truffle fries and the eggs benedict}. Again, the interior is super aesthetic with an old fashioned looking bar and the booth made with lavender velvet. I highly recommend the restaurant if you're willing to spend some moolah.

Although only a couple of the places we ate are pictured, I have a MASSIVE list saved on my phone // computer of other restaurants and shopping areas and places to take insta g {and blog content} photos!! If you want any recommendations, feel free to reach out!!

xoxo V
